WELCOME TO THE SEO LAB

We do research in the fields of synthetic biology and systems biology. Particularly, we are interested in applying synthetic and systems biology approaches to elucidate and redesign complex regulatory networks of microorganisms i) for the production of chemicals, fuels, pharmaceuticals, and therapeutics, ii) for environmental bio-remediation, and iii) for biomedical applications. We are located at School of Chemical and Biological Engineering in Seoul National University, Korea.

Prof. Seo performed postdoctoral research at UCSD by applying systems biology approaches for genome-scale understanding of biological systems. As a graduate student at POSTECH, he learned how to develop novel synthetic biology tools and to construct and optimize biological systems. Combining systems biology and synthetic biology approaches, he envisions his career to address various energy, environment, and healthcare issues. Learn more

We are part of the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Interdisciplinary Program in Bioengineering at Seoul National University. We are actively looking for graduate students in chemical engineering, bio-engineering, microbiology, bioinformatics and computational biology and many other areas.  Learn more
